PRODUCT RESEARCH/DEVELOPMENT | CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT

Project description

Ervin & Smith was hired to determine the product development path for an undisclosed client through issuing prototypes and conducting chat sessions.

In order to determine which prototype concept had potential with the target audience (mothers), we organized two chat sessions to measure resonation levels. During these chat sessions, moms ranked their preference when it came to things like colors, shapes, materials, safety and functionality. Based on their interaction and direct feedback, we discovered each prototype’s key features, which lead to a list of mandatory elements for the next stages of this children-focused product development.

Outcome

As a result of the chat sessions, Ervin & Smith determined the top two prototypes according to moms. These findings indicated the ways moms intended to use the product within their households, as well as determined our next steps in strategy, development and design.
